Celebrating National Small Business Week in Horizon West

Horizon West isn’t just a place to live; it’s a hub for small businesses, entrepreneurs, and residents alike. As we recognize April 28 – May 4, 2024, as National Small Business Week, we celebrate the local enterprises that enrich our lifestyles and provide opportunities to support local endeavors.

Empowering Community Advocacy

At Horizon West Happenings, our mission is to empower residents to advocate for their community. We serve as the central hub where neighbors connect, engage, and support local initiatives. Our commitment to local businesses stems from the belief that fostering community starts with championing our neighbors’ endeavors.

A Glimpse into Horizon West’s History

Horizon West’s journey from citrus groves to a flourishing community is a testament to resilience, vision, and collaboration. Thirty years ago, the landscape was marked by citrus growers grappling with devastating freezes. Out of adversity emerged a vision for a master-planned development that would honor the area’s agricultural heritage while embracing modern urban planning principles. Thanks to the dedication of individuals like Jerry Chicone Jr., Jim Karr, and Jim Sellen, Horizon West blossomed into the community it is today.
