Seedling Kids Nursery Coordinator 5 Hours Per Week About Citrus Church: We are a United Methodist Church based in Horizon West, FL. Citrus offers its staff a chance to serve in the third fastest growing community nationwide. Citrus Church offers a refreshing invitation to Jesus and desires to deeply invest in and serve the local area. We are supported and have accountability through the United Methodist Church. We believe God is calling us to bring refreshment to our neighbors and to make a long-term impact in this community. The Position: We’re seeking a Nursery Coordinator with a passion for helping children, infants through age 2, experience the love and grace of Jesus Christ. They will have an understanding of the Christian faith and embrace United Methodist theology and doctrine. The position is part-time, hourly, and involves clocking in and out. Must be available Sundays from 8:30am to 12:30pm (4 hours).

Job Responsibilities:

• Create a welcoming and safe space.
• Help to maintain a clean, well organized, and welcoming nursery.
• Warmly greet parents and children when they come to the Nursery.
• Ensure the nursery is a place of joy, play, and friendship.
• Tables, toys and other surfaces are to be cleaned and disinfected after use.
• Bedding is to be washed when used.
• Soiled diapers should be taken to outside dumpster.
• Organize weekly lesson based on provided curriculum during the week
• One hour will be allotted to work from Citrus Church’s office to prepare lesson and supplies.
• Schedule volunteer nursery assistants using Planning Center Services.
• Ensure all proper background checks are completed and approved for any teachers and volunteers for the children’s ministry.
• Remain familiar, knowledgeable and compliant with all of the rules put together by the United Methodist Church Conference in the Child/Youth Protection Policy.
• Must provide their own computer to access digital curriculum and for communications.
• Work in collaboration with Children’s Ministry Coordinator.
• Nursery Coordinator will report to the Children’s Ministry Coordinator.
