With a plethora of options ranging from sports camps to vacation Bible school, there’s something to cater to every interest and age group. Whether your child is a budding athlete eager to hone their skills on the field, or seeking spiritual enrichment through engaging activities, Horizon West offers a diverse array of summer camps to keep young minds and bodies active during the upcoming break.

Summer Camps in Horizon West

Chophouse Martial Arts: Their 2024 Summer Camps are led by experienced instructors and tailored for young warriors! Activities during the camps include karate workshops, fitness challenges, team-building exercises, and once-a-week field trips. Address: 9245 Miley Drive, Suite #110

Florida Film Academy: Choose from several themed camps for students aged 7 to 18 at various venues across Central Florida, including the Winter Garden location.  Experiences range from filmmaking, animation, makeup FX, acting, and so much more. Kaipod: Weekly summer programs, intentionally designed as small group sessions with a maximum of 12 kids, are scheduled for children aged 8-16 to guarantee an engaging and captivating experience for each participant. Each day, students will participate in three hours of enrichment focused on an engaging theme and will also have lots of opportunities to play games, socialize, and participate in facilitated fun led by their incredible Learning Coaches. Orlando Dance Conservatory: During the summer, skilled teachers will hold a Classical Ballet Intensive for students 8-12 years old (Not En Pointe) and an advanced Ballet Intensive for ages 11 and up (by audition only). Address: 3554 West Orange Country Club Dr, Suites #140 & #150

Family Church – Lakeside: From day camps, sports camps, music camps, and even sleep-away camps, Family Church has you covered. There are many offerings on the schedule at the Lakeside campus including a Kids Club Summer Camp (K-5th Grade) , where each day a new activity is offered; a daily Sports Camp offering a variety of sports (K5-8th grade); and a weekly gathering for older kids (6th to 12th grade). Pinspiration South Orlando: Arts and crafts classes for kids will be offered all summer long, with weekly themes like Fairytale Week, Enchanted Forest, and more! Address: 14416 Shoreside Way Suite #100

Horizon High School: Horizon High School is hosting music camps for elementary students in grades 1-3, beginning band for grades 4-6, intermediate/advanced band for grades 7-8, and color guard cadet camp for grades 6-8. Camp dates are June 3-6 and 10-13. No experience is required, and all supplies and instruments are provided. Enrollment begins April 1! Address: 10393 Seidel Road

Lake Cypress Summer Camp: Lake Cypress Summer Camp offers a variety of activities for children ages five through fourteen; Half-Day Mini Camps for elementary-aged students that run from 9am to 12pm Address: 6189 Winter Garden Vineland Road

BNA Sports: BNA Sports offers 4 sports in the Horizon West area – Flag Football, Basketball, Soccer, and Cheerleading for children in Grades 1 to 8. Address: 17000 Water Spring Boulevard

My City Allstars – Hamlin:  My City Allstars in Hamlin is a premier coed, all-day, multi-sports day camp run at Hamlin Middle School. Campers experience a wide range of sports and activities in a fun and supportive environment. Address: 16025 Silver Grove Boulevard

Vacation Bible Schools

A number of Horizon West area churches will offer Vacation Bible Schools this summer:

Citrus Church: June 17 – 21 from 9AM to 12PM at Keene’s Crossing Elementary. VBS costs $50 per child. VBS is open to Preschoolers, and rising Kindergarten through rising 5th graders. Address: 5240 Keenes Pheasant Drive

Horizon West Church: June 24 – June 27 from 9AM to 12PM at Horizon High School. Free. Address: 10393 Seidel Road

Family Church:  VBX July 22 – July 25 from 6PM to 8PM at Family Church in Lakeside. Grades K to 5th. Registration Fee $10. Address: 8464 Winter Garden Vineland Road
