Disney Passholder News: Annual Passes on Sale April 20th + Skip (Most) Park Reservations After 2PM
19 April, 2023
Great News for HW Residents Looking for More Access to Disney Parks
It’s no secret that many Horizon Westers came to fall in love with this area by visiting the world’s most famous mouse who happens to live next-door! Those who arrived here more recently have been anxiously awaiting the ability to purchase new Annual Passes since Disney shut down sales of all but the lowest level pass (valid only on weekdays) in late 2021.
Annual Pass Sales Resume April 20th
Thankfully for eager Disney fans, the wait is just about over! Annual Pass sales resume on April 20th! New sales of the Disney Incredi-Pass, Disney Sorcerer Pass and Disney Pirate Pass will resume and can be purchased online beginning “no earlier than 6am Eastern Time,” according to Disney’s website.
If you plan to purchase, you may want to act fast; Disney’s site also warns, “The quantity of passes will be limited and passes, or a pass type, may become unavailable for purchase at any time.”
In addition to access to the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, all passes provide special perks throughout the year, including:
- Standard theme park parking
- Discounts on dining, merchandise and more
- Special offers on stays at Disney Resort hotels, available from time to time
- Special merchandise and content created just for Passholders
- Access to V.I.Passholder Support to get the most out of your year of magic
To compare and purchase passes, visit Walt Disney World’s website.
More Good News: Visit Without a Reservation (With Some Exceptions)
The days of spontaneous park visits after school and work are back! As of April 18, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders are able to visit the theme parks after 2 p.m. without needing a park reservation, except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom Park. Pass blockout dates continue to apply though, so be sure to check the specifics on your pass.
New Passholder PhotoPass Perks
Since March 20, Passholders also now receive access to Disney PhotoPass lenses and one complimentary Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories experience. Disney PhotoPass lenses are a special collection of Disney-themed augmented reality experiences you can capture through the My Disney Experience app on your phone. Some are only accessible in designated areas of the parks, while others can be enjoyed anywhere at Walt Disney World Resort and some can even be accessed from home!
And, Passholders can create and share short Disney-themed video slideshows with favorite photos from your theme park visits now, too.
Visit Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories and Disney PhotoPass Lenses for details, restrictions and other information.
