Brownie Girl Scout Troop 1972 is Coming to Horizon West!

Meet The Newest Troop in Town.

Troop Leader, Grace Pelley, shared the exciting announcement with us about the formation of a brand-new Brownie Troop here in Horizon West. Troop 1972 will begin mid-August and will include a variety of exciting surprises and activities. Some of what the Troop plans to offer are team-building exercises, guest speakers, trips, STEM, community service projects, cookie entrepreneurship, and badge earnings that showcase the Brownies’ achievements! “Each new adventure, will allow the girls to grow as individuals and as a tight knit troop”, said Pelley.

The Girl Scout Leadership Experience allows girls to look at the world and take action to change it for the better. They make friends, challenge themselves with new experiences, write their own stories, and develop the skills and confidence to say, “I know I can do this!” – Excerpt from GirlScouts.org

Why Girl Scouts?
The organization focuses on three principles that allow them to accomplish these leadership goals: Girl-Led, Learning By Doing, and Cooperative Learning. One of the unique things about Girl Scouts as an organization, is that it allows the whole family to get involved. Parent and guardian volunteers are always welcome and there are tons of ways your family can plug into Troop 1972.

To ensure a smooth enrollment process, interested parents or guardians can reach out to Troop Leader Grace Pelley via text at 689-236-7139 or by email at GSOCTroop1972@gmail.com.
