Horizon West’s Three New Schools are Online!

Two New Elementary Schools and One Middle School Open Aug 2022

Horizon West has been receiving one or more new schools nearly every year since 2015! This August, three new relief schools will open their doors — two in Horizon West Town Center and one in Seidel Village area.

The schools are: Hamlin Elementary, Hamlin Middle and Panther Lake Elementary.

Names for each were solicited by surveys of student families and local residents. Influencing the name suggestions for both Hamlin-named schools was proximity to the Hamlin development and the Hamlin variety of orange trees that formerly grew in the area. These schools are physically located in the area of Horizon West Town Center known as Silverleaf that is just beginning development. The Panther Lake name comes from the lake of the same name. It is located in proximity to multiple communities zoned for the school.

All three schools are ready to open in August 2022 and have their online presence up and running!
