Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Insider Tips
1 October, 2025

One of the best things about living in Horizon West is being close to so many theme parks. And if you love spooky season, but want less spooky and more fun, then Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the best. Follow these insider tips for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party to maximize your time and fun.
Top Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Tips
Arrive Early
You do need a separate party ticket for MNSSHP. Official party time starts at 7 p.m., but you can enter the park with your party ticket starting at 4 p.m.
If you’re going early, we also recommend resting earlier that day. You want plenty of energy for all the activities inside the party so you can shut it down at midnight!
Hydrate
Temperatures are still high throughout August, September, and even October in central Florida. Prepare for the heat by wearing a weather appropriate costume. Also, don’t forget to hydrate! You can ask for a complimentary cup of ice water at any quick-service dining location.
Don’t Miss Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade
Mickey’s Boo-To-You-Parade is one of Disney’s best and you don’t want to miss it. Each party night you have two opportunities to catch it at 8:15 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. The 2nd parade is usually less crowded, but you can also run the risk of missing it if there’s bad weather and it gets cancelled.
The Headless Horseman usually rides ahead about 10 minutes before the parade starts so get your seats early to enjoy spooktacular floats, Haunted Mansion dancers, and electrifying Gravediggers.
Eat Before The Party Starts
Schedule your advanced dining reservations by 5 PM, so that you don’t miss any of the action once the official party starts at 7 PM. If you get hungry, try some of the special Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party exclusive snacks. Also be sure to check your guide, because some of the quick-service dining locations close early.
Have Fun at the Trick or Treat Trails
Sure you can buy candy anywhere, but where else can you collect candy while saying hi to Maleficent? Some treat trails include characters in the line, so you can grab a quick selfie or wave hello. If a line is long for a treat trail, then skip it and enjoy the rest of the party activities.
Often treat trails are less crowded towards the end of the party, and you can even find some generous Cast Members who scoop a ton of candy into your bag. They provide complimentary small bags for you at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, so we often recommend bringing a backpack to pour your candy into once that bag fills up. Happy Halloween!
