Abracadabra is seeking a proactive, organized, and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our indoor playground and café. This individual will work closely with the General Manager and ownership team to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, and support the staff in delivering exceptional service to families with young children.
The ideal candidate is a natural leader, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating positive experiences for both guests and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the General Manager in supervising staff and ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently
Help train and guide team members in customer service, safety, cleanliness, and café operations
Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and ensuring adequate staffing levels
Handle customer concerns or issues professionally and promptly
Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the café and playground areas
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards
Support café operations, including preparing drinks, snacks, and maintaining inventory
Assist with planning, setup, and coordination of birthday parties and events
Manage supply orders and restocking needs
Monitor facility condition and report maintenance needs
Serve as a key point of contact when the Manager is off-site or unavailable
Requirements:
Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial support role (hospitality, retail, or family entertainment preferred)
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Customer-first mindset with a friendly and professional attitude
Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
Flexible availability, including weekends and occasional evenings for events
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, child-friendly environment
