If you have spent time at the Stoneybrook West Golf Club, you may have noticed a certain level of professional energy on the practice range. This week, our “Around the Neighborhood” series spotlights local resident Brian Davis and the Brian Davis Golf Academy team.
From competing on the world’s most famous courses to sharing his knowledge with the Horizon West community. Originally from London, Brian moved to the area years ago and has become a familiar face in the local sports scene.
A Career Built on Precision
Brian’s career is marked by consistency and a high level of play across multiple continents. After turning professional in 1994, he earned two victories on the European Tour, including the Peugeot Open de España. In 2004, he made the move to the United States. Davis made history as the first English golfer to medal at the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament, earning full status on the U.S. based PGA Tour
Throughout his time on the tour, Brian recorded 28 top-ten finishes and competed in 21 major championships. Local residents might remember his performance at the 2010 Verizon Heritage, where his display of sportsmanship after calling a penalty on himself during a playoff became a widely cited example of integrity in professional sports.
