The West Orange Chamber Leadership Programs celebrated another successful graduation ceremony today, bringing together business professionals, community advocates, and civic leaders from across West Orange County.
Hosted by the West Orange Chamber of Commerce, the event recognized graduates of both Leadership West Orange and Emerging Leaders, two programs designed to develop informed, engaged leaders who are committed to serving their communities and strengthening the region.
A highlight of the ceremony was a keynote presentation from Olympian Damu Cherry-Mitchell, who shared her personal journey of perseverance, discipline, and leadership. Drawing from her experiences competing at the highest levels of athletics, Cherry-Mitchell encouraged graduates to embrace challenges, continue learning, and use their leadership skills to positively impact the communities they serve.

Our own Lindsay Turner was a member of the inaugural Emerging Leaders class, helping launch what has quickly become an impactful leadership development program for young professionals and emerging community leaders throughout West Orange County.
Horizon West Happenings CEO Stephanie Lang is a graduate of Leadership West Orange and later played a significant role in helping develop the Emerging Leaders program. Her involvement helped shape a leadership experience focused on fostering collaboration, civic engagement, and professional growth among future leaders in the region.
