Honoring Our Local Heroes: Celebrating Horizon West’s Veteran-Owned Businesses
10 November, 2025
As we approach Veterans Day, our Horizon West Happenings team is honored to shine a light on the brave men and women who have served our country—and who now continue serving our community through their businesses, leadership, and everyday impact.
Our veterans are not just heroes in uniform. Here in Horizon West, they’re our neighbors, local business owners, community leaders, and friends. They bring discipline, integrity, and purpose into everything they do, helping shape the vibrant, supportive community we are so proud to call home.
This week, we’re celebrating veteran-owned and veteran-led businesses throughout Horizon West. Each one embodies service, excellence, and heart—and every one of them deserves to be seen, supported, and appreciated.
Below are their stories.

Anthony Alzate brings his dedication to service from the U.S. Army into the world of residential mortgage lending. Through Future Home Loans, Anthony helps families navigate the home-buying process with clarity, honesty, and support. One of the lessons he carries from his time in the Army is simple but powerful: systems and processes win the battle time and time again. It’s a philosophy that guides the precision and care behind every client experience. We thank Anthony for his service—to our country and to local families pursuing homeownership.

Event Vendor Supplies takes Shane’s commitment to excellence nationwide, supplying high-performance products for event companies and production teams across the U.S. Shane’s entire business philosophy is rooted in the Air Force Core Values: Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do.
