The wait for Horizon West’s long-awaited library is almost over.
While Orange County Library System has not yet announced an official opening date for the Horizon West Branch, construction continues to move forward and residents can now get a fresh look at the progress thanks to newly released photos and video from the site.
“We are excited for the opening of Horizon West Branch and we will share an opening date as soon as we have one,” Orange County Library System shared with Horizon West Happenings this week.
The new branch, located next to Horizon West Regional Park, has been one of the community’s most anticipated projects. Once complete, it will provide a dedicated library for Horizon West residents and serve as a hub for learning, technology, community events, and family programming.
New construction photos and a recent video update show the building taking shape as work continues toward completion.

Library Programming Comes to Horizon West This Summer
While the permanent branch is being finalized, Orange County Library System is bringing Summer at Your Library programming directly to Horizon West families this June at the Waterleigh Community Clubhouse.
All programs begin at 10:30 a.m. and are recommended for children ages 6-12.

For many Horizon West residents, these programs offer a preview of the family-friendly experiences the new library will bring to the community once its doors officially open.
